The world is full of uncovered beauty and elements of uniqueness. Every element out in this universe has a unique essence of beauty.

There are numerous historical sites and other significant locations in this world that mark the beauty and heritage of the particular place they are situated in. These historical sites are known as the Heritage Sites.

What are Heritage sites?

Any monument, sculpture, tomb, fort, or any other structure on this earth, where political, cultural, social, traditional, or any religious remains are preserved. These preservations mark the importance of the particular historical period or event or any person they belong to. The places which include the above details are known as heritage sites.

Numerous heritage sites across the globe are declared world heritage sites by the union nation body UNESCO. These heritage sites are protected by the government and governmental laws that prohibit any damage to these historical sites, for safe preservation.

We cannot have a visit to these places daily so whenever we visit places like this, we prefer clicking pictures and keeping them for keepsakes. In that case, photographers are lucky enough, to have clicked beautiful portraits of these sites.

1. Angkor wat, Cambodia

The Angkor archaeological park in Cambodia comprises 12 large temples and other smaller structures. But the biggest and the finest out of them all is the 12th century Angkor Wat. This temple provides an immensely beautiful view for photography with a huge forest cover.

2. Bagan, Myanmar

Recognized as one of the most sacred places in the world, Bagan features an exceptional range of Buddhist art and architecture, that includes monasteries, temples, and other structures. The sunset view of the temples and shrines present here offers some of the most beautiful outlooks to capture.

3. Taj Mahal

The mausoleum situated in Agra, Delhi in India is considered a symbol of love. It was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The marble engraved mausoleum appears golden in the bright sunset and offers some of the outstanding views for photography.

4. Machu Picchu, Peru

Though the elaborate stone ruins of Machu Picchu are the work of 15th century Inca rulers and not naturally formed, the natural setting around it makes it look charming and unique. The stunning backdrop with lush green surfaces and the Andean peak offers the most intriguing outlooks for photography.

5. Petra, Jordan

The ungraspable 147 ft tall facade chiseled in Jordan’s mountainside is the most remarkable spot for photography. It is one of the world’s largest and richest archaeological sites(heritage sites) all with a red sandstone backdrop.
